Chromecast with Google TV - incorrect video thumbnails in progress bar

After watching the full episode of a show in a series, PLEX will automatically play the next episode.
The next episode plays just fine. However, when moving forward/backward using the progress bar, the video thumbnails displayed correspond to the first episode I played, not the episode currently playing.

So, if I selected and played S1E1, then continued on to S1E2 automatically, scrolling through the video using the progress bar in E2 will show me the video thumbnails for E1.
