For the past couple of weeks, I’ve not been able to get the description of any TV show or movie.
In continue watching or in tv shows, clicking any show shows a blank screen with a spinning wheel that never ends – until I click menu. Click and hold, however, does show a list of options – choosing “go to show” in that list pops right back to the plex home screen (e.g. either ‘continue watching’ or ‘recently added in TV shows’).
In continue watching or in movies, it acts differently… Clicking briefly shows what seems to be the normal description screen for the movie (description and actors) but then immediately pops right back to the continue watching or recently added movies. Click and hold does pop up a list of options, and then choosing “more Info” shows a very short one sentence description of the movie but no list of actors.
Before this strange behavior, there was a time with a different strange behavior - clicking on a movie would show the info screen but with no description and the actors were no round thumbnails, just initials.
Not long ago it all was working though. BUT I don’t know what change happened that caused these two strange behaviors.
Today I let the AppleTV update to iOS 15 and the problem remains.
upgraded server to 1.25.2.5319 and AppleTV 7.26 (1744) and these problems still exist.
What more information can I provide to get this fixed!
This is a huge problem… e.g. in that it’s thus impossible to see what a movie’s description is to decide which movie to watch.
This is all still happening… It is a BIG problem for us!
We can’t click on any show or any movie to see the “summary” of what it’s about. That makes it very tough for folks to decide whether to watch something or no.
AND… if an Episode of a TV show is in “recently added”, there’s now no easy way to play the first unwatched episode of that show – since clicking play on THAT episode will play THAT episode… and click on that episode won’t display the SHOW’s entry, so there’s no easy way to play an earlier episode.
Please either just fix this or tell me what more information y’all want / need!!!

Still doesn’t work… same problem! Would someone please please please tell me what else I can do to provide information that will help SOMEONE at Plex to fix this!
Still happening… click on a TV show and it spins and spins… click on a movie and it shows the summary screen for a second (or less) and then back to the previous screen (e.g. the ‘home’ screen).
