Client Transcoding And I Don't Know Why

So I’ve allowed my friend access to my server to stream remotely, but we are having issues with transcoding when it should be direct playing.

In the pic below:

• (Left: QN65Q70RAFXZA) Him playing on his TV with HDR10+ and HDR10 support
• (Right: Galaxy Tablet S7 FE) Him playing on his tablet, direct playing

The file he’s playing is 4K with DV, HDR10+, and fallback HDR10. He should be able to natively play 4K HDR10+ or at least HDR10 with his TV. Why isn’t it falling back and instead transcoding to 1080p?

Remote streaming is set to original and 50Mbps max, which this is under. Video quality is set to Maximum in Plex Web.

Yeah he was getting a CPU error on his end, I have an iGPU. I noticed DDNS was down on my server, updated and it came in after. Something weird hit me last night that knocked my internet and remote service out for awhile. I’m in Pittsburgh, so assumed it was related to the earlier storm. I can do Debug logging and have him repeat if that’s what’s needed to diagnose?

I will need DEBUG server logs so I can watch what it’s trying to do up to the point of failure.

INFO, WARN, ERROR are ok when it’s all running normally but as soon as an issue pops up, DEBUG is needed
