I’ve been using Plex Cloud Server for about a year now. I need to change the login from the current Google Drive account to my other Google Drive account. I want to shut the old account down. Anyone know how I might do this?
Thanks for pointing me to the Plex Cloud account page. I didn’t want to risk unlinking and then linking using the credentials for the proper account. Back when Plex suspended Amazon Cloud Drive support I made the mistake of unlinking and could never link Amazon again.
This time I tried “Reauthorize” and, when prompted, supplied the new credentials and it worked! Zombie media folders from the old account remained but it was a simple matter of deleting them and all was well.
Before going the Reauthorize route I did an experiment by trying to link a Dropbox account. The prompt for credentials proceeded correctly but after all was said and done Dropbox remained unlinked. Tried it twice with no success.
I would not unlink any account you aren’t prepared to lose. Relinking may work, but if it doesn’t you are probably SOL.
