After yet another hdd failure, I’m thinking I’m thinking of migrating and copying my huge library of movies to dropbox. If I use Plex’s CloudSync, do I have to sync all the movies back to my hard disk, or can stream the movies directly from the cloud?
Also, what’s people’s experience with using cloud to watch movies via plex? A lot of issues? Worth migrating data my library to the cloud
Hi. It’s the same concept as a regular local server. To set it up, you just link your Dropbox account. Whether it’s worth it or not, would be down to you. My experience, personally, it wasn’t good. I used Google Drive, it was painfully slow, and I mean dead slow to sync up anything. Constant buffering on a high speed connection, it was a very painful experience. I just can not recommend it. I Hope it works for you though.
