Cloudflare Error Code 520 when trying to access the https://plex.tv/ site

Does anyone know how to solve the Cloudflare Error Code 510 when trying to access the https://plex.tv/ site?

When accessing the site using my phone on the mobile network or using my laptop on a different wifi, the site works as expected. But when trying to access the site using my network, I get redirected the the cloudflare error page. Does anyone know how I can solve this?

I’d like to note that when accessing the forums or going directly to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/, the site loads without issues. I only get the error when trying to access https://plex.tv/ directly.

Sounds like an issue with DNS.

  • Tell your router to use Google’s DNS (8.8.8.8) instead of the one which is provided by your ISP.
  • Look for Plex-related entries in your local hosts file and remove them: hosts (file) - Wikipedia

I’m already using Google’s DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and confirmed that it was working via https://www.dnsleaktest.com/

Also, my hosts file does not have any entries related to plex.

Do you happen to have any other ideas?

Well something must be interfering. But I’m unable to say if it’s your ISP or perhaps something on your network.
If you have any type of VPN, or ad-blocking software on your network, try disabling them temporarily.
