It would be great to have OwnClound as a CloudSync backend, allowing us to use our own server for CloudSync
Similarly, why can not we use any WebDAV or FTP server as a cloud?

that would be a whole different feature request.

Not really. It's just another backend for CloudSync. Be it an api or a FTP/WebDAV protocol, it's not that different

I would keep them specific, if you want owncloud keep this specific to that, if you just want more backends and you don't care if 50 of them get implemented before owncloud, then allow generic.
Are you happy for me to edit the title to "more backends" and remove the reference to owncloud?
Definitely a great idea !
I would suggest WebDAV support would be a better request for supporting OwnCloud..
At first I was thinking that using OwnCloud for cloud sync would be redundant, because you could just play through Plex's own web interface, but I guess it could be useful if your Plex and OwnCloud servers were on different systems.
I would love to see google music add as an option. I use it to play music on my android devices mostly but to have it in the hone on a dnla network would be great. I know we can use it on an internal hardrive its just the remembering to update all the different places. Or maybe get the google music as an app.
I have my own ownCloud on a VPS, would be amazing to have ownCloud support. Could probably house my entire library in the cloud.
DrivePop, Mypcbackup, OpenDrive, Owncloud, Tonido and numerous other cloud storage service have support for webdav. Come on Bitcasa refugees!

OwnCloud +1
No cloud provider needs to know what movies I have on the server, I don’t need that headache!
