I have PMS running at one location, I’d like to sync specific shows or movies to another location for local/offline viewing. Basically just like sync, but to a local store.
For example, I have my parents using plex on a roku3. I can’t do local sync to the roku3, and there is a lot to love about it as a plex client. I don’t want to convert them to something that can do sync because frankly, I don’t think any of those options are simple enough.
alternatively, the ability to have a ‘cloud sync’ storage provider that is something I host locally. Simple enough to ‘cloud sync’ the shows they watch to their destination.
either way, I want to get the content to their location so they have non-buffering delivery and off-line access, while not having to manage a separate plex installation which I’m doing now.
