I just started playing around with Plex and have been a XBMC user. One thing I’m missing is the easy ability to view my movies in an organized fashion. In XBMC this was accomplished by movie sets where I could group Action movies, Star Trek movies, etc together. I know this can be done with Collections but their are a couple steps in navigating to this view where I would prefer it on the main menu. Today, the only options appear to be the ‘on deck’ and ‘recently added’ views on the main menu where I would prefer to have a Collection view instead.
I signed up for plexpass to play around with Plex Home Theater. One of the teaser images showed a ‘Pixar Films’ category on the main menu which made me think that this feature I was looking for was integrated in the new release. Now that I’ve played around, I’m not sure what this ‘Pixar Films’ menu option was all about or how I can create something similar. Can anyone shed light on this?
probably the pixar films in that image is a separate section (you can create as many sections in plex as you like).
