Devide your created collections into groups, which are visible on the ‘Collection’ tab. Create your own groups, name them, and add your created collections to those groups. When you click on one of the group names you will go to an overview of every collection in that group (basically how it is visualized currently on the ‘Collections’ tab).
In the image attached to this post, you see a quick visual of the collection groups. There are groups created for: movies, oscars and distributors. See the collections attached to the groups to get an understanding of what collections could be added to what groups.
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
Therefore this one is closed, to prevent spreading the votes across several threads, even though they vote for the same (or at least very similar thing).
