I’d love to see Collection items appear in “On Deck” after you watch one. So if I watched “Back to the Future” last night, I’d like “Back to the Future Part II” to show up in the “On Deck” section, then “Back to the Future Part III” after I watch Part II, and so on until I’ve watched all items in a collection.
And just like with TV Shows, say you’ve watched all the items in a collection, like everything in an MCU collection. Then a new film comes out and you add that to your MCU collection. It’d be great if that new film showed up in “On Deck,” just like new episodes of previously watched shows do.
Now that we’re getting the option to remove items from “On Deck,” this would be a great addition I think. Especially for larger collections, like James Bond or MCU. It would also solve the hassle of repeatedly scrolling to the bottom of a collection to find the latest entries as you get closer to the end of a really big collection. Instead, just go to the next one in your “On Deck” section.
In the event that a movie shows up in multiple collections and you watch it, perhaps the collection name could appear below the poster and movie title in “On Deck.” That way you could distinguish between two collections for that item and optionally remove one. It could take the same place currently occupied on screen by the Season and Episode number for TV shows.
So if I got an MCU collection and a Captain America collection, and I watch the first Captain America, the next item in each collection could appear in “On Deck,” and one could say “MCU” below the title while the other says “Captain America” below the title. (You could just have the server track the individual collection you were in when you started it, and add the next item from only that collection to “On Deck”, but then nothing would be added to “On Deck” if you found the first film from the library or a title search).
