Collection with 0 items - Bug or Expected?

Is this a bug or expected? I like it because I can add a dummy collection to a library - for example, I can add a “Back to the Future” collection to my TV show library, even though I don’t have any Back to the Future TV shows. Then from that Dummy collection I can see “Movies in Back to the Future Collection” and “Games in Back to the Future Collection”. But I don’t want to rely on this if it is a bug.

  1. Create a collection in a Movie library
  2. Create a collection in a TV library
  3. Create a collection in a Game library
  4. Add one item to each library
  5. Add a sharing label to the movie in the collection from #1
  6. Share all 3 libraries with another user. Restrict that user so that they cannot access media under the label you created in #5.
  7. Observe that you can still see the movie collection even though it doesn’t have anything in it.
  8. Observe that navigating to the collection from #1 in the movie library allows you to see the TV show and game, but not the movie. It also shows a play button that doesn’t work.
  9. Observe that navigating to the other collections in #2 and #3 allows you to see the TV show and game, but not the movie AND not the movie collection.
