Collections not working-“Solved”

[Edit] I fixed this by creating a new movies library and deleting the troublesome one.

Server Version#: 1.40.0.79980c29d4c0c8
Player Version#: 4.123.2
Windows 11 version 22H2

In the web player, I recently went to Movies/Collections, and all I see is

I can’t even go back to Recommended, Library, or Categories because the menu at the top is gone.

I tried the PlexDBRepair1.05.00 tool and the Plex SQLite.exe to integrity check, vacuum, reindex and finally recover. Nothing worked.

I haven’t touched my collections in over a month.

I don’t want to trash the database and re-add my libraries, I’ve done so much work fixing Matches, fixing posters, creating Collections, it’ll take me months to rebuild. I have about 4,500 movies and over 7,000 tv episodes.

I could live with just deleting the collections manually from the database if that’s what I need to do. But I can’t find any other help online. I hope someone has some advice for me.

[Edit] Today, I thought I’d look at the browser console and I see this error:

Error: “collection” is not mapped to a media type

Does it work in other apps like the mobile app?

Huh, yeah, it’s fine on my Phone. That’s weird. Does this help figure it out?

In the web app in settings hit the Show Advanced button to show the DEBUG setting then in DEBUG hit the red “Restore Defaults ” button. This resets the web app ( you will need to pick libraries to pin to sidebar).

This will essentially clear the site data for the web app in the browser and hopefully reload things correctly. ( It does not affect server settings)

Sadly this did not fix the issue. Thanks though

Does it work with the web app at https://app.plex.tv which is at version 4.124

Did not, but it’s a moot point now. I created a new Movies library and deleted the old one. Problem wasn’t not solved, but it is gone. Cured the disease by killing the patient as it were.
