There’s a suggestion discussing an option to mix tv shows and movies in the same library. Given how different the handling of those different media types is, I consider it most unlikely to happen.
The best way to approach what you’re looking for is putting that media in same-named collections. With that, there’ll be a hub of related media (e.g. Movies in XYZ collection and Music in XYZ collection).
