A really fun feature Plex should add is a comment feature for everyone your library is shared with.
For example you watch a movie and comment your thoughts; it sends a notification to your friends (similar to the new episode notification) and you can discuss from there.
Some libraries are so large and a lot of good episodes and movies can get lost in the mix. It would be nice to just add a quick comment like, “By far best episode of this series!” or “This movie was pretty ‘meh’ I didn’t care for the ending.”
Plus it’s a private feature for just your Plex library users!
Of course make notifications optional for those who don’t wanna be bugged all the time. But it would be pretty cool to open the app on your tv and see the notification bell and read the comment from there. Or scroll down on the movie’s details to the comments.
@J_Deezy, I use Tautulli with my Plex server. Whenever someone watches a show, it posts to a Slack (free) channel via webhook. If I think someone else should check it out, I’ll @ them or the channel for everyone to see. I use the free tier and it’s never costed me anything.
