Recently, I ran into a problem with metadata recording. There are two versions of the same movie. One is in color and the other is in B&W.
A better instance is two fan edits of Star Wars (1977). One from TeamNegativeOne 4K77 and the other : Harmy’s Despecialized Star Wars (1977). Both are the same movie butare attempts to restore the original version’s colors and scripting.
I tried to make these distinctions in the metadata editoing in Plex but failed. Each time I changed the data, the Tagline since there are no user comment areas, Plex would make the changes to all versions even though they are ‘split apart.’
I had to give up since there was no way to make changes to a single version.
Is there a user comments/notes metadata entry I’m missing?
