Seriously, can we get a real communication update about what’s going on with the mobile apps? I feel there’s a severe lack of honesty and transparency here.
The sheer amount of negative feedback has to have triggered some internal discussions, right?
- Are any changes being proposed?
- Second hand, but I heard that the new app isn’t expected to reach feature parity for at least two years. Is that really the expectation?
- I’ve seen developers and other staff only responding to bug reports. This seems very deliberate to avoid fanning the flames, but honestly being ignored sucks. What’s going on internally?
- This is the second UI refresh that I’ve received poorly, and the second that has caused measurable disappointment in the community. Obviously I can’t say if it’s a majority, but the Play Store app rating drop and forum responses kind of speak for themselves. I see a larger failure here in anticipating what users actually want. Is anything being done to address this?
At this rate, I’m expecting an announcement that FAST users will be the only ones supported moving forward and you want server users to migrate to other media hosting solutions.
