There have been a number of feature suggestions regarding photo libraries splitting the vote on this so I thought I’d create a more general request to amalgamate all of these.
Since I’ve been a Plex pass user the past couple of years, Plex has made some massive improvements to music with Plexamp, to the Synology Plex media server platform and also with some new additions such as Plex arcade and I’m sure much more. However, the photos app had really fallen behind - it requires a complete overhaul. From missing basic features to bugs and missing features, it really does require an overhaul. Given the demise of free cloud storage on Google photos and the similarly feature poor Synology Photos, there seems to be a massive gap in the market for a local storage solution for photos. I hope others feel the same!
