I’m wishing to have a app just for photos just like the plexamp was made for just music. I use the plexamp app all the time while driving or at work. Bu to have an app just for pictures would complete the ecosystem of plex. I had this idea at my family Christmas party where everyone was showing pictures on Google photos and other apps, yet I was trying to show them from the plex app. But its design for all aspects and not made for just photos like the music app is.
I have no votes to give at the moment, but I was about to make a similar suggestion.
I don’t use Plexamp at all. There’s nothing wrong with it - it just doesn’t fit my lifestyle. I don’t listen to music on my phone, and I have all my music on an SD card in the car.
But a stand-alone Plex Photo viewer would be an outstanding fit for me. By far, the most use I get from my phone is related to photography, including showing my latest images to friends. As space is limited, a lightweight app to view my Plex photo libraries would be very useful.
I like the Plex Amp app dedicated to Audio
I would like to see a similar app dedicated to Photo with editing and sharing options
I could be a great alternative to Google Photo
