Is this the latest version of the Donator build of Comskip? If so, I’ll just remove my custom comskip.ini, which is just the latest Donator version and just let Plex use the default one.
Comskip doesn’t really do releases, but our version is from this commit: https://github.com/erikkaashoek/Comskip/commit/233fdb7, which is about 2 weeks old.
Sorry, just realised that the Comskip Donator (Early Access) I was referring to on http://www.comskip.org/ hasn’t been updated in a while. Should’ve realised that a long time ago. I’m guessing they don’t update there anymore. Must be GitHub only now.
I’ll update Plex and use your version as it’ll be newer!

I suppose it has been a while since I had first got comskip and MCEbuddy that I don’t really remember the difference between the free and donator versions. Maybe I should ask this question. what is the change that was made by including the donator version?
That’s exactly when I started using Comskip, with MCEBuddy.
The Donator version used to have these advantages which made it differ from the free version. Not sure if it’s the same now (the one Plex now uses)
Current available improvements include a .wtv version, a h.264 version, multithreaded decoding and other speed improvements.
I would get microblocking in the edited recordings, just got use to it. I also thought it was cause by signal issues, maybe this will help?..
Now they just need to add the editor and we’d be golden
Pardon my ignorance, but how is this enabled/configured? Is it simply a replacement to the previous native commercial skip feature and automatically utilized when we turn on commercial skipping, or do we need to do something more proactive to get it working? Are there any tweaks or configuration options too? (I looked and didn’t see anything under settings).

yes that is correct
There are no settings in Plex to alter the way how the cutpoints are determined. If you have the comskip editor you can customize the file to work more consistent/accurate in your region/networks.
