Comskip Synology setup?

Hi, so I bought a Synology DS220j NAS unit mainly for Time Machine backups since my Unraid Tower was never stable with that. Gotta say, after finding instructions to set that up its been rock solid so far (*knocks on wood).

I installed the Community Package Center and found Comskip in there! Always wanted to try it so I installed it along with ffmeg. I setup a Plex DVR (my Unraid Tower still does the heavy lifting for that) on the NAS and wanted to test it out. Can you guys point me into the right direction on where to go next? Haven’t been able to find any instructions and would like to test this out.

Sorry, thought you setup the post script processing in Plex. I did search and found a couple other topics so thought I might get help here. I tried that forum, but can’t seem to register bummer there. Every other place I’ve tried haven’t gotten any help either. Going down a rabbit hole haha.

Plex dvr has comskip built in, all you need to do is enable commercial skip or removal in the dvr settings, or on the dvr schedule for a show.

Yeah I’ve tried it (just recently again), super unreliable for me. I don’t trust the built in one at all.

some folks have reported it not working properly for them either @ Commercial Skipping is broken starting in 1.18.6.2368

I use the settings @ Dramatically improve commercial skip in USA
