I’ve seen similar requests - but not really - and lots of optinions that you can do something similar with Collections… and frankly not only that does not achieve the goal, but it’s a stupid amount of work and maintenance.
In my Music libarary where an artist can have various sections; like an Album section, Live Albums, Singles, Soundtracks, Compilations, Demos, etc. I’d like to see a section that automatically pulls any Concert Videos from my Movie Library.
Conversely, when I go to a movie detail of a live Concert, I’d like to see all of that particular artist albums right there. RIght now, it only shows other concerts of the same director. OK, cool… but really?
Woulnd’t we rather see the musc releases of the artist?
Sort of.. not sure why you are showing a screen capture instead of the relevant media cover on what (in those examples), are DVD or Bluray releases …and what is shown in my Movie collection.
BTW: If this is what you get by doing the Inline or Global Folder approach then its not ideal on multiple levels.
The below has been achieved by putting both the music album artist, as well as all videos of this artist into a regular collection. Particularly important is that the collections are named exactly the same.
The videos are in a library of the type “Movie”. That way you can add not only the concert as such, but also almost all the bonus content which might be come with the concert video.
