I’ll make this short and sweet.
I’ve been recording the Olympics, but now I have a Conflict Detected for one of the airings. The show it is conflicting with is not, and has never been, one of the shows I record.
Young Sheldon, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, and The Olympics are the only things I have ever recorded. So how can it conflict with something that’s not in my list?
Ugh. Missing so much good TV.

I ran into this and found that something else was using the tuner. In my case it was the app that came with my USB tuner.
Yeah, I don’t see how the Hauppaugge WinTV app would interfere in my case. It is installed, I’ll give you that, but nothing is setup.
OK, so it happened again. Right now it’s supposed to be recording Modern Family, and what do you know?! It’s conflicting with a show that I am not recording, and have never recorded. I am also not watching live tv at the moment. This is getting very frustrating!!!
Last night I went to watch a live show and was presented with a message roughly stating something to the affect of “there’s already a show in progress”… oh really? I wasn’t recording anything, and was not watching any other live tv stream. I had just gotten done watching a previously recorded show.
I think that the Plex app is getting stuck in watching a live tv stream, even though I go and watch a prerecorded show or movie.
Help, please!! I’m very surprised that there has been no response besides cerickso41001’s.
I’m now using an HDHomeRun CONNECT. Issues have been resolved.
