Connecting to wrong server on XBOX one

For some reason, my plex app is now connecting to an older server - cached? I recently went ahead and removed all the devices under my plex account due to privacy/security concerns. I changed my password and made sure that my server is accessible to outside my network as well as internally. I am currently in the network and can’t connect to plex via XBOX ONE. I can connect to it on my www.plex.tv/web without any issues. I can connect to other devices like android phone without any issues as well.

I have uninstalled/re-installed the plex app on the xbox multiple times but it keeps trying to connect to a plex server locally that i used to connect to in the past. I had no issues till i removed all the devices so not sure what to do at this point. How do i reset everything on my xbox one and start over like it was the first time - where i have to connect using login/pin?

Help !!!

To remove authorization where you have to relink your xbox to your account goto the following link:
https://plex.tv/users/edit

Near the very bottom you will see ‘Single Sign-on Authentications’ with a link next to the device to delete authentication. (Make sure you don’t go down one level into the danger zone)

That will force your app to have to reauthenticate. (However, it sounds like the App is still seeing your old server from the plex.tv website when it is pulling the information for your servers)

From the devices tab under plex.tv/web when you filter by server is your old server still listed?

I see the “SSO” link i can remove. The strange part is that i don’t see the “old” server in my devices so not sure what messed up. I’ll try that and let you know if it worked tonight.

Thanks for the info.

Worked like a charm. Thanks again.

If anyone happens to still be here… MY xbox is causing the same issue. I get ‘Server Unavailable’. It is trying to connect to the first server I set up and then deleted. It can’t find the new server. The old server does not show on my server list in the webap. Any ideas?
