Hello, would appreciate any help here.
So I am using a laptop running windows 10 and a PS4.
I run the plex desktop app on my laptop and I run the app on my ps4, and most of the time I get a message-
“Unable to connect to_ my server name”
It then says-
“We tried to connect_ my IP address.
Your Plex media server and device are on different subnets. This may cause communication issues. Please check the network setup and try again”
Okay, so I say ‘most of the time’ above because sometimes it works all of a sudden, usually after numerous restarts of both apps and/or devices.
I have looked and found no instructions regarding how I might get both devices on the same subnet etc. and I don’t know what to put into the manual settings IP section.
Newbie question I know, with a simple answer most likely.
Also interesting is that when I try to connect by DLNA to PS4 media player, it doesn’t show up there either.
I have the program allowed through my firewall and media sharing is on.
