"Your Plex Media and Device are on different Subnets"

I had no problem installing Plex on my computer and even linked it with my PS4 on my account. However, when I go to start up Plex on my PS4 I get the error message “Your Plex Media Server and Device are on different subnets.”

What does this mean exactly and how do I fix it?

Hi, I’m having the same problem with my PS4 were you able to find a fix or get some resolution?

If the PS4 has an IP like this (192.168.1.50) and the Plex server has an IP like this (192.168.2.100), then they are on different subnets. In order for Plex to communicate with devices on your local network, all devices must be on the same subnet.

Thanks for the response, I checked and both are on the 192.168.1.x subnet. Also verified the app on the ps4 is the latest =1.01. I’m running plex from centos6 and the app there is the latest. Logged out of both and back in but still no luck. Maybe I’ll try a reinstall.
