@Fletchesus very interesting and promising. @OttoKerner was this because of a fix that was released in a recent update? I am running PMS in a docker container and am running version 1.15.8.1163. Or is this related to something else?
The fix should have been deployed by now.
@OttoKerner - thanks very much for this. Some Tidal content still shows in Dashboard as AAC but running a spectral frequency display as the file plays (using Adobe Audition) this Tidal content is lossless. Other Tidal content as it plays is showing in Dashboard as neither AAC or FLAC (what I see is attached - but again spectral frequency shows as lossless without question)

I have restarted my server and based on feedback from @Fletchesus doesn’t seem to have needed me to re-add media to the library. So is there something else that needs to be done?
Not wishing to bombard this trail with my pre occupation on the subject - for information attached are two screen captures both reflecting the playing of Tidal content added to my Plex music library on my Android . The first is the screen capture of the info on the Android; the second is the capture of the same content as it played on my Android (but captured in the Dashboard through the Web gui). the Android shows it playing in FLAC, the Web gui shows AAC. In any event, an anomaly only as the content is playing losslessly. I will stop now. Thanks for the patience and input on this.
Whatr happens if you remove that album from your library
and add it again from Tidal?
Are you using your own Tidal subscription or did you subscribe through Plex?
@OttoKerner nothing. I have tried that and it still shows AAC 320kbps. I am using my own subscription since I have a military discount.
Sorry, I just got word that the fix is currently working only for Tidal accounts which are subscribed through Plex.
To do the same for foreign Tidal subscriptions, is still being worked on.
I just signed up for Tidal Hi-Fi through Plex and it is indeed playing AAC when added to my Plex library despite the FLAC being available as the case with others, Was there ever a fix for this?
