I’m on the latest beta version 1.40.0.7775. Plex in docker, zero problems, except I have one show that when watched doesn’t show up in “Continue Watching”. This show was watched on one server, then continued on another (both servers on the same version). And the watch history is synced, however the show isn’t in continue watching. The library is my “TV Shows” library (all of my “continue watching” is currently from that library" but I do not have the function turned off for any library. The problematic show was just watched yesterday, so it wasn’t there then timed out (I have a 2 week timeout on “continue watching”). How can I start troubleshooting this?
So I believe I’ve found the issue. The “Continue Watching” items are stacking, or are hidden.
I only see three items. I have Continue watching paramaters set like this:
Weeks to consider for Continue Watching: 2
Maximum number of Continue Watching items which will appear.: 10
When I watched something new last night, it showed up in continue watching, but I didn’t want it to continue watching it, so I removed it from continue watching. Another thing I’m currently watching appeared.
Changing the “Maximum number of Continue Watching items which will appear” in Library doens’t affect it showing only 3 items.
I believe this is bug in the latest or the lastest and previous beta releases, so I’m tagging you @BigWheel let me know if this is confirmed or new. I couldn’t find anything related reported yet here.
There was a change in recent beta that when marking something as watched it will not add that to the server play history on dashboard and due to that it won’t add next episode to CW either.
If you just stop an episode at the credits but due to credits being so long it is not considered finished. When a partially watched thing is marked as watched it should add the next episode to CW but it isn’t. This was recently fixed and afaik should be in next update.
There is also a change coming that when marking something as unwatched it does not remove all the play history for that thing.
