Over the last couple of months, i have experiencing a bunch of issues with the continue watching section.
I use Plex media server on a PC and watch through the app.plex.tv

Not making room
When a new episode of a show is added to my folders and Plex finds it, while i am on the dashboard, it "overwrites another show in continue watching, and takes it’s place, the other show does not go away, it just gets hidden behind the new one, unless i manually update the page. So the state updates, just not the number of items it is supposed to show in the list.

Remove from continue watching
If i remove a show from continue watching, it only applies it to that specefic episode, so if i add a new episode the next week, the show will show up under continue watcvhing again, as long as it is unwatched.
I would expect, like it did earler, that if i remove a show from continue watching, that, that show, regardless of new episodes, would not show up under continue watching again, unless it is unfinished with X percentage back to watch.

For the first issue if it is what I think it is you should just need to refresh the browser page.

I have not seen the second one before. Is the new episode matched? Are you keeping all files when done? (Neither of these should matter just trying to think of how to maybe reproduce) If you remove from CW with another app like on mobile does it work correctly?

Also what version number is your server?

For the first issue, that is the whole point, as it automatically adds items to the list, it should not be necessary to update the page, the issue is that the state of the page is not correctly updating, it is a coding issue.

For the second issue, yes episodes are matched, it is like it is not saving a record of me saying remove from continue watching for the show, but only for that specific episode.

Not sure what my version is, but the latest version. But this have been an issue for a long time, through many updates, i was just pissed enough to bring it up, because, every week i have to select a bunch of shows to remove from continue watching, and those bastards return every freeking week.

When you remove the episode from CW is it partially watched or complete? I’m assuming you mean that same episode gets added back.

Just trying to figure out a way to reproduce.

No, they are added to their folder, and found by plex, and removed from CW right away, but shows up on next episode again next time a new episode from same show is added, next week, they are not partially watched

My guess is that you simply hit the maximum number of items that will show?

No, i usually have 2 or 2 shows on continue watching, that is why it is so annoying, that shows keep showing up

The opposite it happening. Things are being added when they should not be

Does this only happen of you you use remove from continue watching from the web app. Does the same happen if you use the mobile app for example?

Is it the same episode all the time that appears that is still unwatched?

To be clear if you watch the show at all after removing it it will appear in CW

If you remove from CW then the next day you finish that episode the next available unwatched episode will appear in CW, which is expected.

It is not a permanent setting for the show. It is until that show is watched again.
