Continue Watching only showing TV shows, not movies

Server Version#: 1.18.7.2438
Player Version#: 4.22.2
As the title says: All my recently played TV shows appear under ‘Continue Watching’, but no movies. This is true for all the players I have connected to my server as well. I have tried resetting the Home Screen view, but this has not helped. Any ideas?

I am testing:

Remove Continue Watching from the home page.
Go to movies, watch a bit of one, recommended tab, If you see a Continue Watching (we hope) add it to the home page.

What happened? - after you moved Continue Watching back to the top.

Continue Watching for Movies was available, and I added it to the Home screen, but the movies I started playing are still not showing under that category.

You mean ‘new movies’ you started watching? I see 6.

There may be a limit - and is a limit for what is shown on the home page - 3 being the home page max. Not sure if there is a Movie Library max, but you may have reached it.

Those movies are not showing on the Home screen - this is my current Home screen view

I would try re-setting the customization for the home page to the default view. I think if you have manually added an item (hub) from one of your libraries, it only shows items from that library, not all libraries (the default)

I don’t know if that’s a bug, or a feature… and I guess it would be viewed as one or the other depending on the way you want the home page to look.

If you have Shows in front of Movies they’ll never show in the home page Continue Watching.

You only get 3 slots on the home page for Continue Watching.

To see if Movies are working - you need to mark as watched/unwatched Shows, until you see Movies appear.

VERY recently on my Roku - right after they fixed the bug preventing it - I removed Continue Watching, and added back Continue Watching ONLY for Movies. I don’t need Shows in Continue Watching - they’re On Deck - not a fan of redundant redundancy.

Of course we can’t do that on P-Web. That would be way too cool.

Maybe I’m being a little slow, but I recently watched a film that was nearly three hours long over the course of three nights (not enough time to watch the whole thing in one sitting), but that film did not once appear in Continue Watching, or in On Deck.

Movies don’t go in On Deck. Just Shows.

If you have a bunch of Shows ahead of your Movie it’ll never show, but one would think the most recent ‘pause’ would move that item forward in the list, but I can’t recall EVER seeing that happen. In fact, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t happen. First come - First Serve.

You really should remove every TV Show from Continue Watching - to make sure you can get a Movie up in there… if it wasn’t packed full of something else. Just mark all TV Shows in Continue Watching 'Unplayed/Unwatched (so you don’t miss anything). Eventually you’ll see some Movies come up.

Don’t know if this will help - but you can increase the number of On Deck items. That would be helpful if we could remove TV Shows from Continue Watching, but we can’t in the web app.
