Continue Watching on Home Screen

Server Version#: 1.22.3.4392
Player Version#: Web

With the new update, continue watching now shows next episodes if you watched an episode and shows brand new episodes in the list. Previously it only showed episodes that were half watched/etc. How can we revert back to the original way? I don’t want next episodes etc showing up in that feed

You cannot deactivate that behavior. You can however remove items from continue watching via its context menu ( > Remove from Continue Watching).

It used to not do that is the issue I guess. I guess the new update changed that behavior now.

Continue Watching now also includes what used to be in the old “On Deck” row

And there is no way to turn off the On Deck function at all? Or can you turn off continue watching?

No, you can’t.
If I may ask… what’s bugging you so much about it? I always find it quite useful to have an option to continue e.g. the next episode of a show I’ve been watching right from the home page (instead of drilling into the library). I’m sure there’s different use cases… therefore just trying to understand where you’re coming from / what you’re aiming for

Not everyone likes having shows appearing there to continue. Just not my cup of tea. I just like having shows that are partially played in that section vs having new shows appear or new episodes. I like a minimal home screen.

Also it never did this prior to the new update, just as a FYI. It only showed the shows that were partially played, and you could turn the On Deck off previously.

For me, it’s the fact that they threw the “Continue watching” with the “On Deck” Continue watching used to ONLY include movies or shows that I stopped in the middle of. On deck was the next episode in TV shows. NOW they’re together. So the movie that I had to stop early last week is now buried at the end of a long list of TV shows that we watched afterwards - including 10 of which were shows running on a play list while I sleep. I don’t want to go through these! It’s faster to “drill”! And while we used both, because “on deck” would show the most recent ones up front and the others moved on back we really didn’t have many to go through to find what we wanted. Now that they’re the same thing, it’s REALLY annoying!!

Agreed, I don’t like this change.
