Continue watching, three improvements

1)
When an episode ends and you close your player, or right at the start of the next episode, please make it so that show stays on the home page so you don’t have to navigate to search for it next time you want to watch it. Right now the only workaround I’ve found is to watch the next episode a few minutes and then close it so it’ll stick.

2)
Please make it possible to continue watching a playlist, be it videos, audio or anything.

3)
Sync on different devices seems a bit clumsy right now… The only way to continue watching on TV/PC where I was on mobile is to close the playback screen on my phone and then open the other device/player.

Now if I open Plex app on mobile and there is an earlier episode of the same show open, it will change that episode to Continue Watching on home screen when I close it. Workaround is to then mark that episode to already seen but how about having a possibility to either have a notification that your user account is on a later episode on another device and ask if you would like to continue there… Or just jump there automatically.

  1. From experience that’s only the case for already watched items. Unwatched items will automatically appear under continue watching

  2. there’s an existing request → duplicate. Let’s de-scope it from this thread to avoid distracting votes/comments.

  3. I cannot reproduce this – however this seems to be more of a bug. Let’s create a dedicated thread in the respective category to follow-up on with which client you experience this.
