I have some suggestion about continue playback feature of series that you already watched. Something like Netflix have. If you watched some whole episode from TV series the home screen will suggest you next episode no matter if you already watched whole TV series or not.
This could be very helpful if you just rewatch some series from random episode or you just watch it casually and you dont want to remember the last episode you watched. It will be also helpful if you dont want to mark whole series like unwatched because you can lost your track about what you already watched and what not.
If you just mark suggested episode like “already watched” the feature will no longer be active until you manually start some another episode.
That’s pretty much what you can already get today with Plex.
If you watch an episode (previously watched or not), the post-play screen will offer to continue watching the next episode of that show (w/ auto-play enabled it should also automatically start playing it). The only difference is that previously watched episodes will not cause the next episode to be added to the Continue Watching hub on your home page.
I suppose this is already covered in this existing feature suggestion. There’s also a number of other suggestions around that context. I suggest you comment/vote in those suggestions in order to avoid distracting votes.
