When a file is, let’s say 20+ minutes of dialog (perhaps identify via eq analysis?) it’s probably an audio book.
I’d like to see rewind and fast forward buttons. Perhaps one hit would be 10s, mash that button a few more times it jumps to 30s jumps, then 60s, then 5min etc.
Also, super accurate synced bookmarks so I don’t lose my place in a 3 hour single track would be great.
I’m seeing that playback position is not syncing with the server when a track is downloaded to a device. I have a track downloaded to my iPhone and the playback position is not accurate when I open this track from the server on my iPad. Is this expected behavior?
I also find that playback position is not maintained correctly from one session to the next on my iPhone
i would expect the position is synchronized within reason (e.g. offline client has to connect to server to send it newest data, which is then used by the iPad).
this is ONLY if the library preference for storing track progress is checked.
My server is set to track playback position. As an experiment, I removed the downloaded track from the iPhone and played the track from the server. The playback position synced between the two devices within a few seconds. I’ll continue to play with it but it sure looks like some kind of problem with my iOS Plexamp updating the server with playback position of a downloaded track.
What is required to make the saved playback position work? I have three (3) libraries. Two are music types and one is a movie type. All have the store track progress enabled but it only works for the movies library. It would be nice to have it work for my audio books and music playlists as well.
