I am using Plexamp to listen to Audiobooks. If I listen to Plex on the web it does not sync back to Plexamp, the same situation happens in reverse as well.
I have the audiobook downloaded on Plexamp which could be the issue.

Sync what exactly?
Fail on my part, hopefully this clarifies this a bit more. Sync the listen status. So if an audiobook is 16 hours long. I listen on my computer for 2 hours, my phone using Plexamp starts the book from the beginning. The same thing happens in reverse as well.
Just a thought, but I seem to remember that in order to properly sync playback position you had to fully stop the audio playback (you can’t just pause on one device and resume on another)
It’s been a long time since I tried audiobooks in plex but maybe that is still the case?
To fully stop playback on plexamp you can long press the play/pause button
@jimbob100101 That did the trick. I can now go from my computer to my phone and back with the position being synced as long as it fully stops.
It does not work if the media has been downloaded though. It only remembers where you last left off on the downloaded book, but doesnt sync back with the computer.
Ah well, at least you got it partially working - not sure about downloaded versions as never tried that.
I moved over to audiobookshelf as that is a dedicated audiobook solution which is a far better experience
Yeah, I think Im gonna make the same move. Thanks for the help.
