Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error

I’m not sure where to report I have “Network interface to listen on” set to All things works fine. When it’s set to the only other option br0 (192.168.x.x) I get the transcoding error above.

I’m using a Coffee Lake i3 with the libva 2.2.1 built from source so it uses HW transcoding.

Not sure I can do anything else to help

Can you make sure you have DEBUG logging enabled (not VERBOSE) and do the following ?

  1. Start playback
  2. When it fails, wait 30 seconds for it to clean up and write to the logs
  3. Gather the logs (Settings - Server - Help - Download Logs)
  4. Get the XML (Hover over the item being played -> Get Info (under the ellipsis) -> View XML)
  5. Attach both with your next reply.

Edit: I don’t think the issue is with the file type as it happens with any file. Even when playing on the same LAN.
