Plex was working just fine for months. No issues. However, in order to watch on mobile, it told me I had to update my server. I finally got around to it, ran the .deb file and finished.
Now, pretty much every device cannot watch most of my media. The only one that works is the windows Plex app. Nothing on my TV works, nor does my phone. Very few movies/shows work now. I’ve enabled allow transcoding on every client as well.
What’s even stranger is one show will work with the following types:
Andor (DIRECT PLAY)
Audio: EAC3 5.1
Video: 1080p H.264
But will fail for this:
The Pitt (DIRECT PLAY)
Audio: EAC3 5.1
Video: 1080p H.264
Same exact file formats and audios but one fails and other works.
They all give the same error: Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.
I tried disabling and enabling HEVC video transcoding. Here are my current settings.
