My server has a Quadro P400 in it. Things were going pretty well for a while, but the transcoding starting performing very poorly - buffering every few seconds. There was some advice first about deleting some codecs, which did not resolve the issue. I installed an update to the server, which also did not resolve the error.
Now, files that need transcoding don’t work at all. I get this error message when trying to play a video: “Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.”
Software transcoding works as expected (slowly) on Plex. Hardware transcoding works as expected on Jellyfin.
