I just upgraded to Plex Beta Version 1.20.4.3517 and the UNC path induced subtitle Transcoding Failure has been fixed.

It doesn’t look like the same problem, since you’re not using UNC file paths.
Have you made sure that the specified file is actually present on that path?
Just checked, It’s an symbolic link:

Could it be rights on the target file:

Anyway, I just deleted all .srt files and I am now adding them again, this seems to work…
I just considerably shortened the really long file name I had on some files that were having this problem and they started working fine. Weird!
