Convert a playlist to a collection?

Any tips on converting a playlist to a collection?

Things I’ve tried to no avail:

  1. Batch selecting from the playlist UI – which you can do, but the only thing you can do with the selection is remove them from the playlist… no batch editing metadata.

  2. Advanced filter my Movies library by “Has playlist”, but no such filter exists… :slight_smile:

Incidentally, I’m not sure how widely used Collections (tags) are, but I’ve been using them more lately. It might be to have a flyout similar to “Add to playlist…” but for collections.

Thanks for any workarounds, sick hacks and/or useful tips you might have!

I’ve also run into this issue. I created a smart playlist for Disney movies (filters where the “studio” tag contains the word “Disney”), for example, that I would like to convert into a collection, but I find no simple way to do so. It is a pain to have to manually select each movie to edit the meta information one-by-one. There has to be a better way! Such a feature would be a huge time saver. Please advise.
