Convert Music Playlist Into A Music Collection?

Is there a way to convert or create a collection from a playlist? After creating a rather large playlist I am coming across the limitations of Playlists in Plex and wish it was a Collection.

There are limited functions you can perform on a playlist (no mass tagging to tag all items with a collection tag for starters).

So Playlist into a collection, possible?

No, that’s not possible.
A playlist is consisting of tracks.
A collection can only hold albums and artists.
