copy metadata to other Libraries?

HI All
Sorry if this is a stupid question but I’m new to Plex and cant seem to find the answer when I search.
How can I copy metadata over to other libraries?
I have my Libraries set out like

As I’m going through the “All Films” library and sorting it out, how can I copy that data so I don’t have to update everything in other Libraries (like “Blu-ray Rips”, “DVD Rips” etc.) again?

No, unless you move the whole server.

Aww, I’m currently running off some 8Tb external HDDs attached to an old computer. Hoping to move to a HP Microserver when I work out how to set up Plex on freenas.

My recommendation:
Use the time until then to restructure and rename your media collection like outlined here:

If done correctly, it will

  1. make manual edits to meta data almost obsolete
  2. make moving files and servers much more painless, because matching is less prone to errors

There is software which can make this endeavour way faster
try Filebot
or theRenamer

I’ve got that part sorted, its more the order I like my films, batman for example, I have all the films in chronological order,

without my messing about it puts them in alphabetical order & shoves The Dark Knight & The Dark Knight Rises away from the others.
Probably me just being fussy.

Nah, that is a modification I’d do as well :slight_smile:

That irritates me too. Luckily I discovered collections and just dumped all the batman movies into a batman collection. Still have to look at release dates to view in order… but at least all the other titles that are non-batman are no longer visible when I’m in the collection.

I may be wrong but I thought collections already sorted them chronologically?
