Corrupted plex during migration and lost all my "libraries". Starting from scratch and trying to port over the "watched" flags

Server Version#: 1.24.5.5173
Player Version#:
As the title states, moved plex to a new system (have done so many many times). something happened this time and i lost about 20k files out of about 1 million and that happened to do something with all my libs. rescanning now but im hoping i can some how port over the “you already watched this/ondeck” for me and shared users after everything is done being scanned again.

just need to know where within plug-in support/databases holds those flags. (i think this is the correct location)

thanks in advance

Copy the primary database file from old to new plex data folder.
Make sure that this file is not damaged. When in doubt, copy one of the backup copies instead and change its file name: Restore a Database Backed Up via 'Scheduled Tasks' | Plex Support

It helps if all media files are available under the exact same drive letters/network shares/folder and file names as they were on the old server.

hey,

thanks for the response. i was already messing with those but plex would hang on “updating library” when starting. I tried the files that didnt have to be renamed and for whatever reason it worked…from the looks of it…

i need to find a way to make a back up of a 600gb database. -_-

Is this the size of the primary database file or the size of the whole plex data folder?

size of the entire folder due to chapters/thumbnails etc. It might be 700gb honestly. i just know my server is going to be very busy for a very long time redoing the preview thumbnails etc lol.
