Could a "Recommended" row based on previously watched media ever be a possibility in the future?

Hey,

This is a subject that’s come up lots before, but given the “Recommended On Your Services” row that has been there for some time now in the “Trending” section and which seems to be working quite well in terms of suggestions related to what I watched on my own server, could the same “Recommended” row ever be available for our own media?

I believe this is a hot topic as it has to do with Plex knowing or not knowing what you have on your server. I’m not sure exactly myself how it would work or how that “Recommended On Your Services” row works now.

Is it something being considered, or is it out of the question?

While I really would want it natively in Plex, as you say, I can recommend this new launcher for Android TV that has just this feature. https://dispatchlauncher.com/

Thank you, I wasn’t aware of that.

I think if you create a smart collection based on something like these filters and publish that collection to be visible on home or library recommended tab it would work

That’s great, thank you!

I have various smart collections on Home and Recommended for a Netflix-like interface, but I hadn’t thought of doing that one!

This isn’t quite what I’m talking about in the original post, as that one is more about what is trending rather than an algorithm or something recommending media for you based on what you watched, but this could popular on my server especially as user count grows.
