Could you make the new Android Mobile TV layout full-screen?

I currently have the new Plex Android Mobile TV layout running on my pine64. However, when browsing through the app as it is not full-screen I have an issue where the bottom navigation bar on android overlaps content such as the run time of tv episodes on season view or other information such as episode names on the home screen. Refer to the attached images.

I know this could be a device specific issue as the Pine64 does not have much support, but I am certain making the app full screen in tv layout would solve the issue no matter what device.

Environment: Pine64 running Android 5.1.1

Plex Android app version: 5.1.0.152
