Could you please support play "music video" for the plexamp? (like Apple Music)

Hello, Plex supports playing Music Video, but Plexamp, as an app customized for music, does not support it. Apple Music supports playing songs and music videos(such as picture), and I hope plexamp can also support it.

I think a music app that can play both song and music video is a complete music app.

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to support music video playback in Plex (it’s already available in the main Plex app which supports audio and video playback but not in Plexamp which is focused solely on audio). I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Thanks for your reply, My needs are different. I know that plex’s music library supports music videos.

My requirement is to let plexamp support music video.

When I use Apple Music to enjoy music, I listen to songs and watch music videos. When I use plexamp, I can only listen to the song, if I want to watch music video, I need to go to plex, which is very uncomfortable.I need to switch between the two apps🥲

So I put forward this requirement: Let plexamp support music video (like Apple Music)(In my opinion, plexamp is a music app, not an audio only app)

Is this feature possible?

Plexamp is an audio player. If you want a Plex app which can also play video, use any of the other Plex apps.

I just realized that the new Plex Experience Preview has removed the music feature. Since this will be the future Plex app, does that mean both the new Plex app and Plexamp won’t support music videos? If so, all the music-related content I’ve carefully organized—music videos, artist interviews, and concerts—will no longer be accessible in Plex.

Please add support for the existing music video system in Plexamp, allowing users to browse, display, and play music-related videos!

I experience the same problem as @x1ao4 …
Now i can’t play music videos on my devices anymore :frowning: because Plex won’t let me access the library and Plexamp doesn’t have the option to play the music video for a song.

Please add it somewhere
