OK i have 6 apple TV’s 4th Gen, iPad Pro, iPhone X 256GB, 2 iPad minis and all i am Getting is

“Couldn’t retrieve the play queue for this item. please try again”

All iOS Apps are up to date, TvOS up to date.

Running on UnRaid with Docker which is also Up to Date,

If i use the Kodi App on Apple TV with Plex plugin IT WORKS, its only Plex TV App and iOS Devices?

Also i can watch the same Media on Emby!

HELP PLEASE We go on holiday in 2 days

PS same media same location works fine on EMBY! so don’t be blaming the Media! Server! its since you updated Plex

Could you try running Optimize Databases (instructions here https://support.plex.tv/articles/200392106-library-actions/) and see if that makes any difference. If not could you try playing back the same content in the web player and see if that works?

How are you trying to play the media before getting the error (pressing play from a hub? Going into a preplay screen and pressing play? etc)? Are you able to playback any media of other types, like music if you have a library?

When you playback from the kodi plugin and it works does playback start immediately or is it slow to start?

If none of that helped and it’s still slow could you:

  • Restart PMS
  • Restart the Apple TV device
  • Try playing back the same media in the Plex app
  • Try playing back the media from PMS in the kodi app

Then grab PMS logs again please.

Hi

I stopped Plex, i unplugged Apple tv. I plugged Apple Tv back in Restarted Plex.

Ok i have optimised the database, Tried to play Men Behaving Badly on Apple Tv 4th Gen in the Lounge from the on deck and it did the same, i then played it on web browser (Chrome) and it played it did take approx 60-80 seconds before it started. (I attached the Log’s straight after From Atv and Server)

I can either go to the on deck and play from there either resume or continue it fails also if i go to Tv Shows Navigate to a show and try Start again the same. I shall Now restart plex and Apple tv then plya the exact same two in the Plex Add-on in Kodi and then attach logs in Reply :slight_smile:

Ok My Brother can play my library on his XBOX, and My Cousin can play it on his LG TV!
I can not play it on Apple TV 4th Gen, iPhone or iPad

Ok in Kodi Add on it played no delay Tv Screen has the info from in Kodi while playing, iphone 10 it failed Screenshots attached One is wifi one is 4G. i optimised the database before trying

If none of that helped and it’s still slow could you:

Restart PMS
Restart the Apple TV device
Try playing back the same media in the Plex app
Try playing back the media from PMS in the kodi app
Then grab PMS logs again please.
