Couple of small things I’ve noticed since yesterday’s update (and possibly these aren’t new).
First, if I’m browsing music by an artist with a lot of albums (ie, so I scroll down to see them all) and click on an album to view the tracklisting, then go back to the artist’s album listing, it momentarily returns to where that album was in the scrollable thumbnails, but then sort of refreshes and returns to the top of the artist.
Second, thanks for fixing the “V” functionality of the player. Something feels funny with the new player though - it doesn’t really feel “native” to the app anymore and jumps up on top of other windows. Basically it feels like switching apps completely on Android, the way it’s animated. When I minimised it (while playing) the bar at the bottom suggested the music was paused (ie, showed the Play button) despite the music playing. This one isn’t reliably reproducible from my brief experience.
Pixel 2, yesterday’s beta.
One other thing (maybe doesn’t belong here though). In the Playlist view in android, it’s very easy to accidentally move or remove a track when scrolling. Any chance you can “lock down” those features like on iOS where you have to hit the Edit button before being able to move things around or delete tracks from the playlist? Thanks!
I agree that the animation doesn’t feel great.
Edit: I like the playlist idea, too! =)
Edit 2: With some more use, I do really dislike the animation. It is jarring, and feels like I’m changing apps, instead of launching the badass Plex video/music player UI. :’(
I agree for both the animation and the playlist lock down.
