CPU transcoder options

Hi guys!

I was hoping that someone could help me figure something out. I am using Plex for a long time now and I am having trouble transcoding.

So I was watching this show, which uses H264 codec, and it kept buffering all the time. I had a look at it and it only transcodes 75 seconds, which would not be correct because I changed the setting to 600 seconds. Even though the Plex server settings are on “Ultrafast” and “Make my CPU hurt”. I couldn’t find a solution that was able to help me out, I hope someone can.

That setting affects the cache on the server side. If the buffering is coming from the client side, that setting has no affect. In most cases, this setting will have no noticeable effects.

First of all, thanks for responding. Is there a way to increase the buffer size on the client side?

Unfortunately no. The way transcoding works, it can’t be done.
