after the last update pms stopped working properly. the most frequent errors are: closing the server when an ios/android device tried to connect; when the server did not close, a failed conversion error appeared (this error also appeared while connecting directly with the server machine); and the only lucky time I managed to get a video started I had problems with subtitles.

however I want to point out to all those who have similar problems that in my case the solution was to disable the automatic quality adjustment function.
I’m having a similar issue and found this topic. I found the “automatic quality adjustment” I believe OP mentioned under the Settings > Transcoder section. Both the basic and advanced options has the setting available. I’m going to give this a shot also.
Unfortunately, at least on my android device, there is no such section. In Settings > Quality on my android device, this option is already disabled, unless there’s a different option being referred to here.
Try using web interface to your PMS, select the settings and look for Transcoder. In the window you should see “Transcoder Quality”. OP was stating that they solved the issue by changing the setting from “Automatic” to another option. I have selected “Prefer higher speed encoding”, but do not know if this will fix my particular issue.
I’ve been having the same problem since updating the server, I’ve found something that has worked for me both on an android phone and google TV with Chromecast.
Log out of the device you are having problems with.
Re-ran the server as it had crashed when opening up the apps.
I then when in to Authorised Devices, removed the devices I was having problems with.

then sign back into the apps, I have been able to open and close the app without it crashing so far and play videos and music without any problem.
If the app crashes on the second time of trying to open it close and re run the server and try opening the app agin, I also turned off auto sign in in the apps setting too don’t know it that helped as well.
Hope this works for everyone else as it has worked for me
This seems to be similar to at least my issue. and has a bit more input and support it seems.
